Description: The Meeting Place is a large church in downtown. The worship is big and loud, and the congregation is fairly young. Messages are easy to understand and applicable to your life.

Service Times: Sunday services are at 9:00 am and 11:00 am, with a separate service upstairs in the youth theatre for interested junior highs. The senior high youth group meets Sunday nights at 7:30 pm. Check their website for more information.

Portage Avenue Church

Location: 1420 Portage Avenue (just east of Polo Park)

Description: Portage Avenue is a more traditional church that also reaches out to a younger generation.

Service Times: Sunday morning services are at 10:00 am, and there is a more contemporary 6:30 pm service. The junior high youth meet Sundays at 6:30 pm and Wednesdays at 6:15 pm. The senior high youth meet Thursdays at 7:00 pm and Sundays at 6:30 pm. Check the website for more details.

Gospel Mennonite Church

Location: 232 Nassau Street

Description: Best described as smaller, with a mix of traditional and modern aspects, friendly.

Service Times: Services are at 9:00 am and 11:00 am Sunday mornings, with an 11:15 am meeting for youth. There are also junior high (Mondays at 7:00 pm) and senior high (Wednesdays at 7:00 pm) youth groups.

St. Margaret's Anglican Church

Location: 160 Ethelbert Street

Description: St. Margaret's has a younger congregation, general attendance of 200ish. Worship is done to the tune of the organ or the piano, and the youth have their own worship during the service.

Service Times: Their main service is Sunday morning at 10:30 am, and they also have a small gathering on Saturday evenings (about a dozen people) at 5:00 pm, and a mid-size more meditative service Sunday evenings at 7:00 pm. Youth group meet's every Sunday during the service (split junior and senior high), and every other Friday for hanging out. Once a month there is usually a youth sleepover. The Vineyard

Location: 782 Main Street (just north of the Underpass)

Description: The Vineyard is a fairly small church with a very relaxed and accepting environment. The kids dance at the front during the worship time, and much of the service is very laid back. The church focuses largely on issues like justice and community.

Service Times: The service is at 10 am on Sundays. There is a pre-service prayer time at 9:30 for anyone interested. There is also a youth group for students up to grade 9 that meets on Friday nights at 7pm. There are sometimes youth events on Sunday mornings, please contact the church for information on those.

Elim Chapel

Description: Elim Chapel is a city-wide church community with an eclectic worship approach, incorporating a variety of musicians, drama, visual arts, and unique experiences.

Service Times: Sunday services start at 10:30 am. The youth group, for grades 6-12, meets every Friday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM (unless otherwise noted).
