North Kildonan Mennonite Brethren Church (NKMB)

Description: NKMB is a gathering of 300-400 people each week, lots of older and lots of younger. The music is upbeat mixed with some traditional songs, with all ages participating on the worship teams, and messages are biblical and practical.

Service Times: Sunday services are at 9:30 am (English) and there's an (all ages) Sunday School at 11:00 am. The junior high (called JH4C) and a senior high (called Young Peoples) youth groups meet Tuesdays at 7:00 pm and some Fridays. Check the youth website for more details.

McIvor MB Church

Description: McIvor is medium-sized, about 300 people. Services have contemporary worship and teachings that are easy to follow.

Service Times: The first service (@ 9:00) is more traditional and the second service (@ 11:15) is more contemporary. Junior high youth is on Thursdays at 7:00 and senior high youth is on Fridays (time changes, please check with the church).

Jubilee Mennonite Church

Description: Jubilee is a more traditional, smaller gathering. Expect worship with piano, acoustic guitar and the occasional drums tossed in. The preaching is down to earth and solidly biblical.

Service Times: Sunday service is at 10:45 am with an (all ages) Sunday School at 9:30 am, and the junior and senior high youth groups meet every second Friday at 7:30 pm. Call the church for details.

Rowandale Baptist Church

Location: 162 Rowandale Avenue

Description: At Rowandale there is a strong older presence but many young families with kids and youths also. It also has relatively modern music, with drums and sometimes guitars yet piano is integral; and (most importantly) people love God there.

Service Times: Sunday service is at 9:00 am and 11:15 am, with a Sunday School (all ages) meeting at 10:10 am. The youth group meets on Fridays, please contact the church or check the website under "current events" for specific times.

The LightHouse Church

Description: Lighthouse is a church that meets in a gym set up every Sunday. It's a smaller congregation with contemporary worship. This church is all about community -- it's a friendly atmosphere where anyone can come in and be welcomed.
